Lift Your Voice
Maybe you’d like the experience of a choir but without the commitment of weekly rehearsals? Or perhaps you’re totally new to group singing and not sure whether it’s for you? You might be a regular singer who just can’t get enough!
My Lift Your Voice workshops are the perfect solution. A fun, friendly one-off session, where we learn a piece of music from scratch. Book onto one of my public workshops, or contact me if you would like a bespoke one arranging.
“The time whizzed by, it felt like we’d only been singing for about an hour. Really loved the workshop, the choice of song and the chance to be pushed out of my comfort zone. Thank you Laura” – Nick P.
What’s the Score?
Are you confounded by all the dots and squiggles on the printed music? Just what is the conductor going on about when she talks about dynamics, rests and codas? And why all this talk of scores when we’re not playing football and bars when there isn’t a drink in sight? What’s the Score? A beginner’s guide to reading music for choir singers is a short course designed to demystify some of the terminology and help singers navigate printed choir music. Book onto one of my public workshops or contact me if you would like a bespoke one arranging.
Care Home Entertaining
I offer two packages for care homes and their residents.
For those seeking something a bit different, I deliver bespoke participative workshops, focused on singing and music-making for mental and physical wellbeing. These workshops contain various group singing and rhythmic activities, accessible for those with a range of physical or cognitive impairments, with an emphasis on everybody being able to join in if they want to.
Alternatively, I can just come along and perform pop classics of the 50s, 60s, 70s and onwards, showtunes and jazz standards. Toe-tapping bangers that never fail to bring back memories and get people singing along.

“The residents really did enjoy both sessions – it was wonderful to see so many of them engaging, singing along and clearly getting so much pleasure from the music.” – Wellbeing and Activities Coordinator.
